WHITE

I was walking down the street in NYC listening to the Beatles White Album and noticed three women in front of me wearing white capri pants. I can't imagine wearing white capri pants in NYC, so I think they must be tourists. The last time I owned a pair of white pants was in the 1980's. They were these great jacquard carpenter pants. A rare find, and were ruined in the wash when a red lipstick was left in the pocket. I was very upset.

White pants and skirts are a suburban thing to me.. Worn with topsiders, gold sandals, Fit Flops, the natural tone shoe and the infamous espadrille.

I love a white t shirt or tank top with blue jeans. Dress it up or down. Choose your shoes. Layer a top over or under it. Wear a low belt around your hips over a long white top. The white collared shirt... grab it and go. Accessorize(or not!).

White lace is a class in by itself, and can be it's own separate post. All I am saying here is espadrilles are ok and skirts and well....

Designers play it safe with white. The little white dress never goes out of style. Accessorize to the max(or not!). Spring white will always be accented with colors. Looks good to me with shell pink, of course all shades of grey and soft colors like baby blue. White glistens with silver.

Red, white and black ...  remains a classic.

White is a basic canvas to start any artistic idea.

Back to the Beatles.. My daughter and I love Ringo the best. It is the equilibrium I believe drummers have. The way they are not the main focus of the group has always interested me. Their arms are amazing. The White Album is the first of the Beatles albums that attracted me.

This girl inspired me

It was on the train. I noticed her fire engine red nails painted with clear crystal dots on them first, then her short dark hair. The color was almost black, but not quite. Her lips were outlined in deep garnet smudging into the perfect blush.

Bronze dense earrings dangling.

Time to get off the train as I remember my red leather gloves I lost years ago when I fell asleep and my stop was called as they fell from my lap. The doors closed and the gorgeous gloves were gone. I have a red bag in my closet, but the vintage one I gave away; what was I thinking? Good thing I still have my red belt and those red shoes that never go out of style.

The girl I saw on the train, well, not too many of us can get away with nails like that and pull it off. She was trendy.

My Black Head Band and...

Ok, so in the past couple of weeks It has been gently mentioned or suggested I cut my hair shorter, you know to frame my face. The fact is well, no..I am not doing it now.
Actually, not too long ago I had my hair in a stylish "bob" and got many compliments. I know it might be more flattering but I think it will make me feel well... uncomfortable at this time.

There is something I like about the comfort of my BLACK HEAD BAND.. The way my hair feels off my face, up and out of the head band. With shorter hair it wasn't the same.

I like spinning my long hair around my fingers and making a BUN when it is raining and putting it in my headband after and the way it waves around.
I spin it around and make buns when it is also not raining. Let it loose and it is done.

Speaking of water ..My long BEACH HAIR is outta control. Before I wash it, I always give a good peek in the mirror, so I remember the feeling of this perfect messed up look.

The need for a PONY TAIL on top of my head is just something I crave. Got to have it now. The bop of it. It's great to get it off my neck as high as possible.
Sometimes I will go for a low pony tail when in the mood. It's cool on the side as well.

My long hair flows when I run. I can touch the bottom of it nonchalantly.

When I see a woman with a fashionable short hairdo, I envy it. I think to wear very short hair, your face must be little, and it gives you a stronger appearance.

I have a long face, so my face should maybe be framed around. Oh well !

At a certain age should a woman just not have long hair ? I think it can be long and styled; not ever as long like a cave woman though!

I have an aunt that tells me young girls should keep their hair long. "Why is my daughter's hair layered and styled?" My answer is "That is the way she wants it"

Right now the need to be comfortable is what it is about for me..

The fall is coming..My black velvet headband is waiting. Oh, and I have this leopard vintage one !

Red Loves Me

It's always made me feel special. When My heart is pumping loudly it's red. When proud it's a red feeling. When blushing it's red. When scared or angry I turn red. When feeling Courageous it's red. When happy red. Endorphins turn me red.

Red is one of the very few colors that can be found in my wardrobe or in my lifestyle besides black. I never liked red tights though. Somehow I still can't imagine red leggings are in for next fall..and don't find them flattering, except on little girls and it has to be done right, like mixed with a Leopard printed skirt for my taste. I once wore a red dress and felt like a tomato. I do have a full length red dress covered in black netting that is gorgeous. I wear it with red painted toe nails and one strapped black stilettos. I wear red tops tightly fitted only. I had a red hoodie ... Where is it ?

Red is all over ~

CHERRY is everywhere now in season, so succulent and rich and so dark red.. like,
RED WINE.. comment not necessary !
RASPBERRY also delicious popped in my mouth with that spunky, bright tart flavor.
STRAWBERRY the yummiest when sweet and ripe.I love drawing their prickles.
RUBY is the deepest pink casted gem.
GARNET redder than a ruby in cast.
POMEGRANATE my favorite juice looks raw and bleeding.
ROSE I love the silken feel of it's red pedal to the darkest red tip.
TOMATO like I said don't wear the color, but I do love cooking with it!
(that will be another post one day)
CHILI PEPPER orange casted, so hot but not at hot as
FIRE, be careful. The blue piping out is hypnotizing.
FLAG RED. It's permanent pigment red.
BARN RED on the farm.

DEL RIO my favorite lipstick deep, a dark garnet with a bit of fudge.

OH my goodness do I love RED. There are so many reds.. I could go on .
Just remember Red looks best with most shades of Grey or Gray and White, as well as Browns and Blues. That means all tones of brown and blue. From bitter sweet, midnight blue, mocha, cocoa frappe down to a soft sky, baby blue. Red also mixes with yellows and is gorgeous with all shades of golds and brass, and bronze, however I don't wear yellow.. You might. That is more a home feeling for me.

OF COURSE I always RED with my BLACK.

Have fun~
Kisses are Red

It's Friday the 13th

~ and my day didn't turn out as planned and was a little freaky as well. Remember my dream ? Well, sorry for you who thought the post might have been about the software.

Anyway, as I was writing, the pictures came flying in . Wooshh ... A coincidence for sure ! 46 of them on my computer ... of him , from her, the one with the magical power. I emailed and thanked her for the pictures. "Oh, she is not awake" Holy shit!" came out of my mouth! I was nowhere near my email when these pics came flying in.

Never the less, later she said "He always had a way of keeping us together". I saw his smile, the thick blonde hair, and everyone having a good time. Flash ... When I spoke to her it all seemed so normal. She was also thinking about him . We all were. Yup.
Though am still wondering if anyone else got those pics today in their inboxes !

So , went about my day.. I laughed and cried, and am very bummed out I didn't get downtown to see Aurora sing. Good thing she is playing again.
I did see a incredibly talented cousin of mine today. Love his eyes. I definitely have a thing for eyes.
That was before the laughter and tears. Things don't always turn out the way I plan . That is why I tend to make last minute plans..

and the book I'm reading is hysterical. That is what made me laugh the most.

By the way, always liked the number 13 ~ It is a coven , that is good. The musical~ amazing.

Later~ ✪

dream weaver

I spoke to my fiend's brother a couple of days ago ,and last night talked to another friend about him.

So, last night he was in my dream after not dreaming about him in a while.

When he first past away I would dream about him more often . It is so great to dream about him . It is if we have spent some time together and I wake up happy.

Last's night's dream was quick. He was wearing a flannel shirt and I could hear him speak. Something like "come on let's go" . We were going to meet friends. He was a core gatherer of many of my friends.

I can see him clearer today because of my dream.. feel his fuzzy arms, see his clear blue eyes, hear and smell his breath. I can picture his muscles, his gorgeous relaxed clothes, his beautiful handsome face with it's cleft chin and I am going to have a good day.

Be nice to your friends . You never know how quickly they can be gone to weave back into your dreams.

Purple Haze ☯ Deep Purple

Eggplant.. Aubergine, grape, violet, lilac, lavender, Hydrangea~
All from Nature,

I might just faint from the beauty.

Eggplant is the deepest of purples, I saute It with the richest green olive oil from Italy I can find. green...

Aubergine another word for eggplant. I feel a touch redder when I think of it though.

Grape you can't just eat one. Are grapes really purple? They are in the red family that makes me think of wine. Everyone knows grapes are green... Grape juice is the such a beautiful dark clear purple. Chill it and have it cold.

Violet en Vogue. red violet , blue violet, even ultra electric, take your pick. The violet flower's pedals are so soft to the touch, but the rich color is bursting with passion.

Lilac just the smell alone. Should I eat it or pour it on myself ? Actually in the olive family, arranges itself gorgeously. Lilacs vary in purples, from the lightest to a fresh medium. I love the smell. It is so strong. I wonder if it has a beating heart ?

Hydrangea  I grew up in a town where hydrangeas were growing rampantly. At least that is what I thought. Until I see one now and I say "Oh Hydrangeas!" They remind me of my childhood. I've painted pictures of the weightless petals growing in bunches, all different shades of purples and sometimes blue and green.. but the dense, weightless Purple puffs !

Lavender the herbal tranquil scent makes me in a sleepy haze. I love it in beauty products and sachets. It grows straight up and proud of all it accomplishes with it's tiny bud's. The perfect purple. It's the way it should be.

Of course I love these colors with natural shades like sand, glass, pewter, tans, and greys, from the deepest browns to the lightest shades of stone.
However~

ALL SHADES OF GREEN ~naturally~ take it away for ME when it comes to mixing purple up, even neon and chartreuse...but all PURPLE mentioned above has green naturally growing out of it and that says it all for me. Every green goes with purple.

Also, my daughter has been loving purple all year !!! Yes, purple has been on my mind.
